Senior Scientist I Immunohistochemistry

Senior immunohistochemistry scientist needed to design and execute single-plex and multiplex assays using advanced platforms. The role involves collaborating with pathologists and project teams to support drug discovery through assay development, optimization, and quantitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Independently design and execute single-plex and multiplex immunohistochemistry assays meeting quality criteria
- Partner with pathologists and project teams to determine appropriate assay design for target validation
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot assays on Opal and Leica Bond Rx platforms
- Mentor junior scientists and promote consistent high-quality laboratory practices
- Analyze results and present findings with quantitative data and representative images
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology/chemistry with 10+ years experience, or master's degree with 8+ years
- Demonstrated experience performing immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays
- Thorough knowledge of Opal multiplex immunofluorescence platform and troubleshooting
- Experience with image analysis and understanding of how methods affect quantitative endpoints
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and manage deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, reproducible documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
