Administrative Assistant (2) - Housing Division- Newark & Jersey City

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non‑profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. We are currently seeking 2 Full-Time Administrative Assistants for our Newark Jersey City shelter locations. We need one at each location. We are looking to fill this position as quickly as possible! Must be able to start immediately. Compensation: $20.00 per hour Schedule: M-F 9AM-5PM Job Requirements High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum 2 years of administrative assistant, office coordination, or clerical experience required Prior experience in a nonprofit, social services, shelter, healthcare, behavioral health, or fast-paced human services environment strongly preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Ability to maintain accurate records, track documentation, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities Ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, vendors, and community partnersExperience answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments/meetings, and supporting multiple team members preferred Ability to take meeting notes and prepare professional correspondence and reports Must be dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision #J-18808-Ljbffr Ccannj
