Business Continuity Organization Analyst

OverviewJob PurposeThe Business Continuity Organization (BCO) Analyst provides guidance on business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing activities in accordance with Intercontinental Exchange’s (ICE) global policy, governance, and standards. Responds at time of disaster to assist Risk Management run the Emergency Operations Center.The Business Continuity Organization (BCO) Analyst plays a critical role in protecting the operational resilience of ICE's global exchanges, clearing houses, and data distribution services. This role supports the development, maintenance, and execution of Business Continuity (BC) across ICE's portfolio of regulated financial market infrastructures.The BCO Analyst will preferably have knowledge and understanding of business continuity, emergency management, and/or incident/crisis response to support ICE's business continuity program.The BCO Analyst operates within the Service Reliability department and works across 13 business segments supporting 80+ businesses. This position requires a blend of risk management acumen, incident coordination experience, and analytical discipline. The analyst must be equally comfortable supporting continuity plans, exercises, and live incident response, often under time pressure.ResponsibilitiesBIA Execution & Plan MaintenanceUpdate / maintain, and continuously improve BC plans in alignment with ICE regulatory frameworksSupport the execution of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) to identify critical processes, recovery time objectives (RTOs), and critical dependenciesMaintain BIA and plan documentation in ServiceNow and other platforms, ensuring version control and stakeholder accessibilityIncident & Crisis ManagementEngage in the Location Incident Management lifecycle - exploring Everbridge mass notifications disbursement, and Location Incident Management Team exercises and plan maintenanceContribute to the BCO Incident Quick Open (IQO) process and maintain incident classification taxonomy aligned to ServiceNowRisk Assessment & ReportingAssist in gathering data for the Location Risk Assessments for each facilityTesting & ExercisesDocument exercise outcomes, gap findings, and corrective action items; track remediation through closureTrain and educate stakeholders on incident response, BC procedures, and program updatesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with portfolio managers to gain comprehensive knowledge of business operations and provide alternate support to ensure continuity in the event of a disruptionCoordinate with Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Regulatory Relations, and Compliance stakeholders on BCO program governance and oversight activitiesKnowledge and Experience3+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, emergency management, or IT operations, preferably within financial services or a regulated industryDemonstrated experience with business continuity and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow, Everbridge, PagerDuty, or similar toolsFamiliarity with Business Continuity frameworks and best practices including ISO 22301Relevant certifications from BCI or DRII, such as the ABCP or similar certification is a plusBachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experienceScheduling flexibility is required, as this role supports a 24/7 operating environment and may require occasional after-hours response and supportTechnical SkillsProficiency with incident management and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Everbridge, or equivalents)Ability to analyze and document operational workflows, data flows, and system interdependenciesComfortable working with data in Microsoft office suite or similar tools for reporting, analysis, and trackingAnalytical SkillsStrong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skillsAttention to detail when reviewing plans, procedures, and compliance documentationCommunication & CollaborationExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate risks, issues, and status updates to stakeholdersCalm and effective under pressure; proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders during active incidentsTeam-oriented with the initiative to work independently and drive tasks to completionPreferred Knowledge and ExperienceExperience within financial exchanges, clearing houses, or data distribution environmentsExposure to regulators such as CFTC, SEC, or similar regulatory bodies#LI-JM1 Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
