Husband-and-wife team Andrew and Chef Dani built Call Your Mother around one simple idea: people deserve incredible food made by people who give an F. From our first farmers market stand in 2018, to shops across the DMV, Colorado, Chicago, and Philadelphia, we've grown by obsessing over the details and blasting the music and laughing along the way. HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR DAY

No two shifts are exactly alike, but you might:

• Train new kitchen staff and continuously re-train all kitchen staff to maintain standards
• Partnering with the General Manager, keep kitchen team members accountable for punctuality, behavior, and work performance
• Lead a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen from open to close.
• Maintain equipment in top condition including weekly deep cleanings
• Build beautiful sandwiches that guests can't wait to eat.
• Prep ingredients and set up stations for a smooth, successful service.
• Follow recipes and standards that make every bite consistently delicious.
• Keep ticket times fast without sacrificing quality.
• Keep the kitchen stocked and ready for whatever the rush brings.
• Adapt to menu changes, coaching, and always aim for you and your team to improve
• Pitch in wherever your teammates need you most.

YOU DON'T NEED BAGEL EXPERIENCE.

Variety is the spice of life and we hire folks with a crazy wide range of backgrounds! You’ll do well if you have at least 2 years experience leading kitchen teams or crushing it in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The right attitude and a strong baseline > a polished resume.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands for this position include seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, and communicating effectively; standing, walking, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive physical movements; lifting up to 50 pounds; and safely operating equipment and tools using manual dexterity. This role also requires working in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures, and occasionally working in confined spaces. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.

ASÍ SERÁ TU DÍA

No hay dos turnos exactamente iguales, pero podrías:

• Capacitar al nuevo personal de cocina y brindar capacitación continua a todo el equipo de cocina para mantener los estándares.
• En colaboración con el Gerente General, mantener al equipo de cocina responsable de la puntualidad, el comportamiento y el desempeño laboral.
• Liderar una cocina limpia, organizada y segura para los alimentos desde la apertura hasta el cierre.
• Mantener el equipo en óptimas condiciones, incluyendo limpiezas profundas semanales.
• Preparar sándwiches de alta calidad que los clientes no puedan esperar para disfrutar.
• Preparar ingredientes y organizar las estaciones de trabajo para garantizar un servicio fluido y exitoso.
• Seguir las recetas y los estándares para asegurar que cada bocado sea siempre delicioso y consistente.
• Mantener tiempos de preparación rápidos sin sacrificar la calidad.
• Mantener la cocina abastecida y lista para cualquier nivel de demanda durante el servicio.
• Adaptarse a los cambios del menú, recibir retroalimentación y esforzarse continuamente por mejorar, tanto de manera individual como en equipo.
• Apoyar a tus compañeros de equipo donde más lo necesiten.

NO NECESITAS EXPERIENCIA HACIENDO BAGELS.

La variedad le pone sabor a la vida, y nos encanta contratar personas con experiencias muy distintas. Tendrás éxito en este puesto si cuentas con al menos 2 años de experiencia liderando equipos de cocina o destacándote en un entorno de restaurante de ritmo acelerado. Una excelente actitud y una base sólida son más importantes que un currículum perfecto.

Al final del día, una gran actitud y una buena base de habilidades valen mucho más que un currículum perfecto.
