What You’ll Do The Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting and generating sales, developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships, and identifying and closing new business opportunities. This role involves researching market trends, creating strategic plans, and achieving sales targets while ensuring the company’s growth and success. Job Duties Develop a thorough knowledge of products and pricing Review inventory and market trends on a daily basis Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business Meet or exceed new business sales goals Complete prospecting activities to secure appointments with decision‑makers Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to customers and key decision‑makers Draft sales quotes and other necessary paperwork in a timely manner Submit credit applications for potential customers Introduce customers to financing options Develop and maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends Provide and generate all documents related to deal approval Ensure equipment is ready and presentable for purchasing customers Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential customers Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and customer qualifications Develop negotiating strategies by studying the integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating deals, and integrating deal requirements with business operations Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Mentor junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations Required Skills and Qualifications Present and communicate in a professional manner Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized with good time management skills Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills Experience in developing and executing sales strategies Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills Valid driver’s license and a good driving record Bachelor’s degree in business administration or comparable work experience preferred 3‑5 years of sales experience Consistently hit competitive sales goals and metricsAbility to travel for new hire training Compensation High‑Earning Commission Plan: Maximize Your Income Potential!
