Love bringing people together and turning big ideas into memorable experiences? Tides Folly Beach is looking for a Sales & Catering Manager to drive event sales and bring weddings, meetings, celebrations, and special events to life at one of Folly Beach’s most iconic beachfront hotels.

This is a hands-on hospitality role where you’ll build client relationships, sell events, coordinate every detail, and be there to make sure the big day goes off without a hitch. If you're organized, personable, sales-minded, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you!

LOCATION: 1 Arctic Avenue Folly Beach, SC

SALARY: $50,000 / per year (plus commission)

What You'll Do

• Generate catering and event revenue through proactive sales and upselling.
• Respond to leads, conduct property tours, prepare proposals, contracts, and estimates.
• Build strong relationships with wedding, social, corporate, and group clients.
• Coordinate event details including menus, room setups, timelines, staffing, and special requests.
• Create and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes.
• Partner with banquet, culinary, front desk, housekeeping, and other teams to ensure seamless events.
• Be present at key events to oversee execution, support the team, and address client needs.
• Ensure food, beverage, service, presentation, and timing meet our standards.
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism.
• Follow up after events to gather feedback and encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Assist with banquet team training and communicate staffing needs.
• Maintain event calendars, menus, signage, amenity requests, and client invoices/payments.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• 1–5 years of hotel catering, event planning, or sales experience preferred.
• Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Sales-minded with a natural ability to build relationships and identify opportunities.
• Food and beverage knowledge, including familiarity with food and wine service.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and Google Suite.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event business requires.

The Role

This is an on-site position at Tides Folly Beach with a mix of office-based planning and hands-on event execution. You should be comfortable being on your feet, moving throughout the property, assisting with event setups, and handling the occasional challenge with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
