Behavioral Interventionist

Behavior InterventionistHourly Rate: $23-$28 per hour Location: Culver City, CAPosition Summary: Behavior Interventionists support students in an educational setting, in a one-to-one relationship, to meet the goals expressed in the student's individualized educational program. They offer individualized supports in a classroom setting.Responsibilities:School hours are generally 6.5-7 hours per day.Implement student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).Assist teacher(s) and work collaboratively with educational and behavioral team for implementation of classroom/school routines.Accurately collect and graph data.Utilize CPI de-escalation strategies and physical management as necessary for safety.Requirements:Required: Associates degree or higher (48 credit hours+)Minimum 2 years experience working in a setting with students that have a level of behavioral need.Skills:Ability to communicate effectively across school teamsFamiliarity with school based systems and Individual Education PlansData collection skillsEmpathy, understanding of developmental stages, and understanding and ability to utilize ABA strategies.Benefits: Comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision.
