- # Supervisor, Patient AccessApplylocations: SWH Swedish Hospital Chicagotime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R42993**Hourly Pay Range:**$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.**Position Highlights:**· Position: Patient Access Supervisor· Location: Swedish, Chicago· Full time· Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am – 4:30pm· Required Travel: no**What you will do:*** Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.* Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately.* Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data.* Foster a culture of patient-centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process.* Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations.* Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state specific guidelines.* Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.* Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management.* Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Managers* Manage Timecards* Employee Management (hiring/discipline/evaluations)* Scheduling the team**What you will need:*** Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent* Experience:3 Years Experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.* Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.**Benefits (For full time or part time positions):**· Eligibility for our Annual Incentive Plan, which offers the potential to earn a certain percentage amount of your base salary based on organizational performance.
