Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented individual to join our highly skilled team. The Cook is responsible and successful in completing assigned kitchen responsibilities related to food preparation. The Cook will prepare meals, load food carts, and ensure the kitchen and equipment is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. No Experience Required!

Available hours:

• Dinner Shift - 10:00a-6:30p (M-F with a rotating weekend)
• Other flexible rotating schedule option is available (primarily M-F with a rotating weekend)

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:

• Have a part in preparing and providing all meals for our clients and staff
• Review and accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety
• Assist in maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner

What you need to be considered:

• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
