Make a meaningful impact in the school community as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting students' communication growth and social development. This part-time contract position is ideal for professionals who thrive in an educational setting and want to contribute expertise where it’s needed most.
In this role, you’ll work onsite and can choose between two rewarding assignments: managing a diverse Upper School caseload of 12 students with both direct and indirect services, or offering Clinical Fellowship (CF) supervision to an on-site SLP. Your knowledge and dedication will help shape students’ abilities and guide fellow professionals along their career paths.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in pediatric and school-based SLP services
- SLP-CCC credential highly valued
- Comfort providing both group and individualized therapy
- Skilled in clinical collaboration and clear communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions for students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain up-to-date records, progress notes, and documentation
- Liaise with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress
- In the CF supervisor role, provide mentorship and support to a new SLP, ensuring best practices and professional growth
