Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a rewarding contract opportunity serving an Upper School caseload near Des Plaines, IL. This onsite role is perfect for professionals who enjoy a school-based environment and want to make a positive impact with a manageable commitment—just one day per week. You’ll provide both direct and indirect services to a group of 12 students, collaborating with educators and parents to support student growth and communication development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current IL Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Pediatrics and school-based experience desirable
- Ability to deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention for students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer speech and language therapy to students, tailoring sessions to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Provide both direct therapy and indirect consultation to staff and families
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and track student goals and progress
- Document services, write progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Stay informed on best practices and relevant regulatory guidelines for school-based therapy
