This opportunity is tailored for experienced professionals who excel in pediatric and school-based speech therapy, and are passionate about supporting students’ communication development.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Illinois
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred
- Background in school settings with expertise in both direct and indirect student services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educational teams, students, and families
- Previous experience with pediatric caseloads in similar environments is highly valued
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language therapy for a caseload of 12 upper school students, one day per week
- Deliver both direct and indirect services according to student IEPs, ensuring compliance and effective support
- Conduct assessments, develop therapy goals, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to foster academic and social success
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all services, meetings, and evaluations
