Make a difference in early childhood education by providing vital speech and language services in a welcoming school environment. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for working with young learners and helping them reach their full communication potential.
Working full time—35 to 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday—you’ll join a dynamic team supporting an Early Childhood Center. Utilize your expertise in pediatric speech therapy to deliver high quality care to preschool-aged children, collaborating with educators, families, and other specialists to create a lasting impact in each child’s life.
Required Qualifications:
- Hold an active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license
- Possess a current Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Completion of SLP-CCC credential
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to early childhood students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Participate in IEP development and meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support positive student outcomes
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
