Meridell Achievement Center Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60‑acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and developmental needs with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court, and playing fields. We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients how to moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning. Job Title Therapist Hours 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Your Impact Manage a caseload of up to 11 patients, providing personalized therapy and support to help them overcome their challenges. One individual and one family session per week. Lead psychoeducation and process groups to empower patients and families with valuable skills and knowledge. Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare dispositions to ensure seamless transitions for patients. Serve as the liaison between the treatment team and families/community stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration. Document progress notes and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner. Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and team meetings to stay connected with your unit team members. Qualifications Education/Training Master’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a similar educational degree required. Experience Two years post‑licensure experience, advanced training or certification in an evidence‑based practice such as EMDR, CBT, or DBT. One year of clinical experience in an RTC setting. One year of group facilitation experience. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness preferred. Licensure/Certification Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT‑A, or LPC‑A, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Current driver license. Knowledge and Skills Good verbal and written communication skills. Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Demonstrate effective organization.
