Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid PEL and LBS1 licensure for special education in Illinois
• Demonstrated experience working with junior high and high school students
• Ability to deliver a student-centered teaching approach, fostering individual academic and social-emotional growth
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and team members
• Commitment to a full contract term from August 17, 2026, through June 2, 2027

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to a class of 20 or fewer students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and parents to track student progress and adapt strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and challenged
• Attend and participate in necessary school meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
