Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant supporting Abbott Nutrition's financial operations in Abbott Park, Illinois. Responsible for monthly consolidated reporting, journal entry preparation, financial close execution, and process improvements while serving as liaison between finance teams and shared service providers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly consolidated reporting packages including Profit Review, MRP, and SRP for Abbott Nutrition division
- Execute financial close activities and liaison with FP&A, CFS, and shared service providers
- Prepare analysis and journal entries; complete ad hoc reporting requests from management
- Serve as subject matter expert for global systems (HFM/SAP) and supervise transactional close for Puerto Rico entity
- Support external and internal audits, SOX compliance, and maintain internal control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of related accounting or financial reporting experience
- SAP and HFM system experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and data analysis
- Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Compensation: $78,000–$156,000 base
