Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax AccountantOur client, a large and well-established distribution company, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its corporate accounting and tax team. This is a highly visible role that supports both the operating business and the ownership, providing exposure to a broad range of tax matters and regular interaction with senior leaders and stakeholders.This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys variety, wants to expand their technical expertise across multiple entity structures, and is looking for a role with direct access to decision-makers.What You'll DoPrepare and coordinate federal and state tax filings for various entities, including S-Corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals.Assist with the preparation and review of annual tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments.Support tax compliance activities for both the company and family office entities.Analyze fixed asset activity and ensure accurate tax depreciation and reporting.Research tax issues, evaluate impacts, and provide recommendations on compliance and planning matters.Partner with shareholders, advisors, and internal stakeholders to gather information and maintain accurate tax records.Review individual tax information and assist with shareholder tax-related matters.Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.Participate in tax planning initiatives and special projects that support business and ownership objectives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred.3+ years of tax experience within public accounting or a corporate tax environment.Experience working with a combination of corporate, partnership, trust, and individual taxation.Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance requirements.Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large data sets.Experience with GoSystem Tax RS is a plus.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Why This Role?Opportunity to work on both corporate and family office tax matters, creating a unique and diverse experience.Direct exposure to senior leadership and ownership.Broad tax scope spanning individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporate entities.Stable, successful organization with a strong market presence.Collaborative, team-oriented culture with opportunities for growth and increased responsibility.This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to move beyond a traditional compliance role and gain meaningful exposure to complex tax matters within a dynamic business environment.
