About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Alumni Association, a role that demands a strategic leader with a deep appreciation for the institution's mission, traditions, and global community. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a compelling vision and long-term strategy for alumni engagement, in line with the University's priorities. This includes anticipating the diverse needs of alumni across generations and geographies, and continually evolving engagement programs. The Executive Director will also lead a high-performing team, work closely with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, and serve as a visible ambassador and spokesperson for the University. The role requires significant travel and a commitment to engaging with the alumni community, including major events and traditions. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for an advanced degree, and significant leadership experience, preferably in alumni relations, advancement, or a similar relational organization. The role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to build trusted relationships, and a strong strategic and organizational leadership capability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with boards and volunteer leaders, and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Experience in a complex, mission-driven institution, and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in contemporary higher education and alumni engagement, are also highly valued. The Executive Director will be expected to navigate a complex environment with wisdom, diplomacy, and a commitment to the values of the institution.
