Construction Superintendent

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Superintendent role located in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Construction Superintendent oversees daily on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards. The role monitors project progress, addresses field issues, and maintains clear communication with project managers, architects, inspectors, and clients. The superintendent is responsible for enforcing safety protocols, documenting site activities, supporting budgeting and cost control efforts, and ensuring compliance with local codes and company policies. The role also includes conducting regular site meetings, tracking materials and equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement of construction processes. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Construction Site Management, including coordinating trades, supervising field staff, and maintaining project schedules. Strong Construction Safety knowledge, with experience implementing OSHA standards and promoting a proactive safety culture. Effective Organization Skills to manage documentation, inspections, materials, and multiple concurrent tasks on site. Experience with Budgeting and cost control, supporting accurate forecasting, change order management, and resource allocation. Proficiency in Project Management practices, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Relevant experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in commercial, residential, or mixed‑use projects. Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and reading plans and specifications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and external partners. Proficiency with construction management software and basic office applications. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred. Ability to work on site in varying weather conditions and to stand, walk, and climb as needed throughout the workday. Prefer 1 to 3 years directly related experience.
