Criminal Defense Attorney

Summary Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney to join its Northern Virginia practice. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload and representing clients across various stages of criminal proceedings in state courts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong foundation in criminal defense litigation. Responsibilties Represent clients in General District Court and Circuit Court Manage multiple criminal cases simultaneously at different stages Prepare, draft, and review legal documents and pleadings Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies Advise clients on legal rights, options, and case developments Gather and analyze evidence to support defense arguments Present evidence and advocate for clients in court proceedings Maintain consistent client communication and build strong relationships Qualifications 1+ years of experience in criminal defense Active member in good standing with the Virginia Bar Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload Experience appearing in court and managing litigation matters independently Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build rapport with clients in sensitive situations High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strategic thinking and courtroom advocacy skills Compensation & Benefits Medical and Dental Insurance 401(k) with employer matching Paid Time Off (PTO) Performance-based bonuses CLE and Bar dues covered #J-18808-Ljbffr Protouch Staffing
