Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Alabama
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working as an SLP in schools strongly preferred
- Proven ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver therapy
- Solid understanding of school-based documentation requirements and best practice guidelines
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable approach when working with diverse student populations and needs
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering direct therapy sessions to students across a range of ages and abilities
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintaining up-to-date records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing professional recommendations
- Providing support and strategies to help students succeed in the classroom
- Keeping abreast of new techniques and resources in the field of school-based speech therapy
