We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Residential Power Management and Circuit Protection. This position will be based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

Siemens is seeking an experienced engineering leader to lead a dedicated team focused on advancing our residential power management and circuit protection product lines. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and shaping the future of residential energy. You will lead a high-performing team of multidisciplinary engineers, including mechanical engineers and electronic hardware designers, collaborate regionally, and deliver innovative residential power management and circuit protection solutions for our North American customers.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Build, mentor, and inspire a collaborative engineering team while supporting technical growth, career development, and high-quality execution.
• Oversee design, testing, validation, and implementation of residential power management, circuit protection, IoT, and connected energy technologies.
• Ensure products meet applicable regulatory, safety, interconnection, and interoperability standards, including UL, NEC, IEEE, IEC, ANSI, DER, inverter, energy storage, EV charging, and metering requirements.
• Partner with product management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and regional R&D teams to drive innovation, commercialization, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and lifecycle changes.
• Define and manage technical requirements for complex, multi-domain systems that align with customer needs, product strategy, and compliance expectations.
• Conduct customer discovery to validate product concepts, uncover pain points, and translate insights into actionable engineering specifications.
• Lead initiatives that use AI-driven insights and digital twins to support smarter engineering decisions and faster time-to-market.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience with the following:
  • Product development for residential power management, circuit protection, IoT devices, or connected energy technologies.
  • Leading engineering teams and complex technical projects from planning through execution.
  • Scoping, planning, and delivering resource plans, schedules, budgets, and business cases that support technical and investment decisions.
  • Standards related to home energy management, microgrid interconnection devices, circuit protection, utilities, and distributed energy resources, such as UL3141, UL67, UL1741, UL1008B, UL414, UL489, IEEE1547, and IEC61850.
  • Electronics hardware design collaboration, including PCB layout, power electronics, and embedded hardware development.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% based on business needs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PLM systems, CAD tools, simulation software, manufacturing systems, routings, bills of material, and configuration control.
• Experience working across mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve system-level objectives.
• Experience with R&D cost center ownership, budget planning and forecasting, CAPEX justification, and investment planning.
• Experience defining technical requirements for hardware and software systems, translating customer insights into design specifications, and supporting IoT product commercialization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, interface with customers, build consensus, and support collaborative decision-making.
