Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse performs basic nursing duties.
This includes executing physician orders, operating pill call, and assisting the physician in examinations and treatments.
The nurse performs technical and clinical procedures within the scope of their license.
They assist in the professional management of the medical department.
The position involves applying appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities include attending sick call with the physician and preparing a list of patients to be examined.
The nurse prepares the examining room and equipment.
They operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and procedures.
The position requires controlling medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment.
They perform emergency procedures as needed.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work areas is essential, utilizing appropriate sanitation methods.
Documentation and reporting of activities must be in accordance with established policies and procedures.


Responsibilities include assisting with evaluating the provision of all medical services.
The nurse must maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.
