Legal Assistant

Description Hall & Evans is seeking a candidate with legal assistant or paralegal experience, preferably 5+ years, to support its complex civil litigation practice in our Salt Lake City office. This position can require billable hours. This position can offer a hybrid working schedule (3 days/office and 2 days/home) after successfully completing the training period. Requirements Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience, 5+ years preferred; Assemble and file documents electronically; Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing; Expert coordination for depositions and trials; Assist with preparation of trial/mediation/arbitration documents; Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court clerks; Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; Excellent technology skills; Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process; Maintain client files and contact information; Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements; Outlook/LSS calendaring and iManage document management program experience is highly preferred; Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar; Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly; Well-developed time management and organizational skills; Effectively manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines; Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel); Knowledge of manipulation and editing of PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat; Ability to work overtime as necessary; Other administrative tasks, as assigned; and Complex defense litigation experience is highly preferred. Education Minimum of high school graduation required; Business school, related professional legal secretarial degree, or paralegal certificate strongly preferred. Are we the right fit for you?
