MRI Technologist II Acute

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist II Acute Matthews Medical Center, part of Novant Health Schedule: 24 hours/week | Saturday and Sunday, 7am-7:30pm or 3rd shift flexible up to 36 hours. Responsibilities The MRI Technologist II Acute will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in the acute setting. The acute technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and operating room procedures. Qualifications ARRT (R)(MR) or (MR) certification (registered within 6 months of hire) Prior acute care experience preferred Strong communication skills and attention to detail Education 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required. Experience Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred. Licensure & Certifications (required) NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required. Applicable state license, required. Additional Skills/Requirements (required) Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, analytical ability and basic computer skills. Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age specific needs. Good communication skills.
