This opportunity supports attorneys handling a broad range of complex civil litigation matters, including catastrophic injury, product liability, and other high-exposure defense cases. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing multiple active matters through all stages of litigation.Responsibilities:Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial preparation and resolution.Obtain, review, and organize medical records, billing documentation, insurance information, and related case materials.Prepare medical treatment summaries, chronologies, damages analyses, and other litigation support documents.Coordinate discovery, including drafting responses, preparing subpoenas, and managing document productions.Support deposition and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness files, trial binders, and evidentiary materials.Conduct factual and legal research and assist with the preparation of motions, pleadings, and other court filings.File pleadings and litigation documents in both state and federal courts using electronic filing systems.Monitor case deadlines, maintain litigation calendars, and track the progress of active matters.Collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, experts, and outside vendors to ensure efficient case management.Qualifications:Several years of experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation, preferably within a defense-oriented practice.Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, including electronic court filing platforms.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.Experience utilizing litigation support and document management platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, or similar systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Paralegal certificate or comparable litigation support experience preferred.Experience with legal billing and document management software is considered a plus.
