Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Dental Assistant Coordinator to provide clinical leadership and support the daily operations of a busy dental health center in Kingston, NY. This role combines hands-on dental assisting with team leadership, scheduling oversight, infection control management, staff training, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is a Certified Dental Assistant with strong organizational skills, supervisory experience, and a passion for maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.

Certified Dental Assistant Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Lead and support Dental Assistants in daily clinical operations
• Oversee sterilization procedures, infection control compliance, and related documentation
• Coordinate and maintain clinical staffing schedules
• Train new team members and provide ongoing education regarding policies and procedures
• Review and monitor daily and monthly clinical schedules for efficiency and accuracy
• Manage clinical inventory and order necessary supplies
• Coordinate patient medical clearances and follow up as needed
• Assist chairside and provide hands-on dental support when required
• Monitor staff performance and assist with coaching and evaluations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Article 28, Joint Commission, and infection control standards
• Manage radiation badge reporting and regulatory documentation
• Support quality improvement initiatives and special projects
• Assist with front desk or administrative functions as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) required
• Current BCLS/CPR Certification required
• Current Infection Control Certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of dental assisting experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience
• Strong knowledge of 4-handed dentistry, sterilization, and infection control protocols
• Experience with staff training, coaching, and performance management
• Understanding of inventory control and dental office operations
• Familiarity with front desk procedures and patient scheduling preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
