This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by covering a maternity leave for the first 12 weeks of the school year, with potential for an early start during the extended school year. The position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) and supports multiple school sites in an itinerant capacity, serving students across various age groups.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the Florida Department of Health
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of students and staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Candidates must complete required fingerprinting; previous AHCA Clearinghouse prints may be valid

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and support staff to maximize student participation
• Travel to multiple school sites as needed, managing an itinerant caseload
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, facilitate restorative activities
• Maintain accurate records and document progress according to district and state guidelines
