Staff Pharmacist - Los Angeles, California

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Join a specialized pharmacy team providing critical pharmaceutical care within a secure correctional health environment in Los Angeles. This long-term, open-ended contract opportunity supports a 24/7 jail pharmacy located primarily at the Twin Towers Jail Pharmacy in Downtown Los Angeles. Responsibilities Dispense and verify medications accurately in a correctional health setting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and effective pharmaceutical care. Maintain compliance with security procedures and departmental policies. Participate in training and competency assessments as required. Work Schedule Evening shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Overnight shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM 7.5-hour shifts, approximately 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications Active California Pharmacist license. Minimum of 2 years of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience. Ability to complete security clearance documentation and pass competency testing. Flexibility to work evening or overnight shifts in a secure correctional facility. Local candidates preferred. Hiring Process Highlights Submit required documentation by June 7th. Interview and facility tour scheduled for June 19th. Successful candidates must pass a competency test, employee health screening, and Livescan fingerprinting. Anticipated start date in mid-July.
