About The Role:

Four Seasons Hotel Miami is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Director of Sales to join our Commercial leadership team. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving profitable revenue through the strategic oversight of the hotel’s sales activities, with a focus on uncovering new business, strengthening key accounts, and maximizing opportunities across Group, Leisure, Residential, and other key market segments.

As a key member of the Commercial leadership team, the Director of Sales will partner closely with the Commercial Director, Revenue Management, Marketing, Conference Services, and Operations to ensure sales strategies are aligned with market demand, business priorities, and the hotel’s overall revenue objectives. This individual will lead and develop the Sales team, providing strategic direction, coaching, accountability, and support to ensure individual and departmental goals are achieved.

The successful candidate will bring a sophisticated understanding of luxury hotel sales, revenue optimization, business development, and client relationship management. This role requires a polished, proactive, and results-oriented leader who can balance strategic planning with hands‑on selling, while representing Four Seasons Hotel Miami with excellence, credibility, and strong commercial discipline.

What You Will Do:

• Sales Leadership & Commercial Strategy: Lead the hotel’s sales activities and translate commercial priorities into focused strategies and action plans designed to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability goals.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop the Sales team, establishing clear expectations, monitoring performance, and creating opportunities for continued professional growth and advancement.
• Business Development & Account Management: Actively prospect, sell, and manage key accounts and assigned markets while identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships.
• Revenue Optimization: Partner closely with the Commercial Director and Revenue Management to strategically manage Group and transient business, rates, room commitments, function space, and market mix to maximize overall hotel revenue.
• Market & Client Leadership: Maintain a strong understanding of current and future business trends, competitive activity, and client needs while leading strategic negotiations that balance customer expectations with the hotel’s revenue and profitability objectives.
• Commercial Planning & Performance: Support the development of annual commercial goals and the Marketing Plan while monitoring sales production, booked versus consumed business, market performance, and results against established objectives.
• Sales Execution: Coordinate and execute sales action plans, client engagement, business travel, trade shows, promotions, and other activities designed to generate business and strengthen the hotel’s market presence.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Commercial colleagues and hotel departments to ensure clear communication of booked business, resolve challenges, and deliver an exceptional client and guest experience while maximizing profitability.

What You Will Bring

• 2–4 years of experience as a Director of Sales or Associate Director of Sales, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, or complex urban market.
• Demonstrated success leading, motivating, and developing a high‑performing Sales team while driving individual and departmental results.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of hotel sales strategy, revenue management, market segmentation, pricing, forecasting, and business mix optimization.
• Proven success in prospecting, account management, business development, negotiation, and converting high‑value Group and individual business.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret market trends and sales performance and translate insights into effective action.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills, with the executive presence to represent Four Seasons confidently with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive, adaptable, and highly organised leadership style with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Working knowledge of hotel sales, reservations, and related operational systems is required.

What to Expect

This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role within a dynamic luxury hotel environment. The Director of Sales will balance strategic commercial planning with active selling, team leadership, client engagement, account development, hotel meetings, site experiences, and ongoing collaboration across the property.

The role operates in a fast‑paced environment and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, respond effectively to evolving business needs, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Regular computer and office‑based work is combined with movement throughout the hotel, client meetings, property tours, sales activities, and industry events.
