Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will provide support to the Corporate Accounting and Finance Department while gaining practical experience in accounting operations within a healthcare environment. This position will assist with routine accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, data entry, research, and other departmental projects under the guidance of experienced accounting professionals.

Education

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Completion of introductory accounting coursework preferred.

Experience

• Previous accounting, finance, administrative, or office experience preferred but not required.
• Healthcare accounting experience is not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize information and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and accept direction from experienced accounting professionals.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
