Psychiatric Nursing Assistant (PNA)Terrell, TX | $24.00/Hour | 6-Month Contract | Potential ExtensionProtouch Staffing is seeking experienced Psychiatric Nursing Assistants (PNAs) to join our healthcare team for a 6-month contract assignment at a psychiatric healthcare facility in Terrell, Texas, with the potential for extension.If you have a passion for behavioral health and enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, this is an excellent opportunity to bring your skills to a specialized psychiatric care environment.Compensation & Contract DetailsPay Rate: $24.00/hourContract: 6 months with potential for extensionSchedule: Varies Sunday-Saturday; 5 x 8hrs (40/wk)Multiple shifts available30-minute unpaid meal break per shiftOvertime must be approved in advance by the facility, with the staffing agency notified before the overtime shift begins.Start Date: Begins once all required compliance, credentialing, and clearance requirements have been completed.Available ShiftsDay Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PMEvening Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PMNight Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AMPosition OverviewThe Psychiatric Nursing Assistant provides hands-on patient care and support under the direction and supervision of the Nursing Shift Leader.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health populations and be comfortable providing care in an environment where patients may have complex mental health and/or dual-diagnosis needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate care and support to hospitalized psychiatric patients.Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).Monitor and document vital signs.Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Monitor patient behavior and respond appropriately to safety concerns or emergencies.Perform computer-based documentation and data entry.Follow established facility policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare, accreditation, and regulatory standards.Work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and patient dignity at all times.Qualifications & RequirementsPrevious experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Technician, Psychiatric Aide, Psychiatric Nursing Assistant, or similar behavioral health role is required.Experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health patients strongly preferred.Comfortable working with patients who may have mental health and/or dual-diagnosis conditions.Must follow all applicable facility and healthcare regulatory policies and procedures.Must comply with staffing agency attendance and leave policies.Must meet all required immunization requirements.Must successfully complete the required drug screening.Must successfully complete required fingerprinting/background clearance.Must complete all required facility and regulatory training prior to beginning the assignment.Required CertificationCurrent American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.Texas C.N.A License with at least 2 years experience in Psych.A copy of the current certification must be maintained in the candidate's credentialing file.TB Skin Test or Chest XrayVaccine or titersWhy Join Protouch Staffing?At Protouch Staffing, we connect healthcare professionals with rewarding contract opportunities while providing the support you need throughout your assignment.Whether you're looking for your next contract or want to expand your behavioral health experience, this opportunity offers the chance to make a real impact while working in a specialized psychiatric care environment.Ready to Make an Impact?Apply today with Protouch Staffing!
