LPN Family Medicine

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) in the outpatient clinic setting provides nursing care under the direction of an RN, supporting family medicine services including ambulatory and pediatric care. The role involves performing clinical procedures such as rooming patients, administering injections, conducting EKGs, and other routine nursing tasks. The LVN/LPN must work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication skills, adaptability, and dependability. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient rooming and vital signs assessment including blood pressure measurements.
• Administer injections and perform nasopharyngeal swabs as directed.
• Conduct EKGs and assist with ear flushes and other ambulatory procedures.
• Support pediatric and family medicine patients with clinical care needs.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation.
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to various family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric locations as needed.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in inpatient or outpatient medical-surgical, ambulatory, or pediatric settings.
• Competency in clinical skills including rooming, injections, EKGs, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure measurement, and ear flushes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Experience in family medicine, ambulatory care, or pediatric nursing.
• Previous exposure to flexible clinic settings and floating between multiple departments.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing clinic needs.
• Floating required across Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics locations.
• Accepts first-time travelers.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate; candidates must live more than 75 miles away to qualify as non-local.

• Five 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
• Shift assignments within the stated timeframe, with flexibility as needed.
