Overview Diesel Fleet Technician II - Earn $27.64/Hour + $7,500 Sign On Bonus. Location: Saint Louis, MO (Sysco). Sysco is hiring Diesel Fleet Technicians in St. Charles, MO. Earn $27.64 per hour plus an annual boot and tool allowance. $7,500 sign-on bonus and career growth opportunities. Responsibilities Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the fleet life cycle. Perform FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations (includes all state-required inspections and frequencies). Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and other company-owned equipment. Perform quality maintenance repairs as needed to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles. Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups in a timely and efficient manner. Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (e.g., engines, transmissions, driveline, electrical systems, braking, HVAC, hydraulic lift-gate systems, and related components). Follow procedures and document all work performed on work orders. Operate Sysco computer programs to improve efficiency. Proficient in electrical meter testing and knowledge of electrical controls (including DC low voltage). Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required) Experience Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training preferred 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair OR 2-year school plus 1 year of experience Certifications and Skills Annual Inspector Certification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities Brake Inspector Certification or equivalent ASE certifications (Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks) preferred, not required 609 HVAC Certification Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers The technician must provide their own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) Benefits Earn $27.64 per hour Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus
