GTS Laboratory Materials Technician

GTS Laboratory Materials Technician Job Details: Full Time - Coraopolis, PA Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests of materials under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, including soil, concrete, aggregate, geosynthetics, and other materials. General Responsibilities: Process, prepare, and test samples for geotechnical testing. Ensure safety guidelines are followed and maintain documentation, sample collection, and laboratory logs. Communicate effectively with team members and clients. Maintain detailed records of test results. Support process improvements and keep work area organized. Manage sample inventory, archival, and disposal. Perform other duties as required. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with team members, follow instructions, and adapt to changing tasks. Share knowledge, seek clarification, and support colleagues to foster a positive team environment. Ability to work in a team to maintain a clean, organized laboratory in compliance with QA/QC standards. Assist with other laboratory functions as needed. Lift over 50 pounds. Work off shifts and overtime as required. Read and understand test instructions. Physical Requirements: Lift, move, push, and pull 30-50 pounds frequently; over 50 pounds with assistance. Kneel and squat occasionally. Walk and stand for long periods. Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED preferred. At least 2 years of experience in construction testing/inspection of concrete, soil, asphalt, or masonry. Applicable ACI / ICC Certifications are highly desired.
