Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients of all ages-pediatric, adult, and geriatric-through standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions aimed at enhancing abilities in communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a unified care approach.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to support development beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care during the entire therapeutic journey.
• Document patient interactions and progress in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to remain at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting.
