Step into a rewarding opportunity making a real difference in the lives of students as a Speech Language Pathologist. You’ll support communication and language development for children in both school and homebound settings, working on a contract basis with flexibility to choose either part-time or full-time hours.

This assignment begins in late August and wraps up in early June, aligning perfectly with the academic calendar. The role is based primarily onsite, with the added fulfillment of providing high-impact services to students unable to attend school due to medical reasons. Your adaptability will be valued, as caseloads may change throughout the year, keeping the work fresh and engaging.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware SLP license (required for consideration)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience supporting students in school environments
  • Familiarity with homebound or medically fragile student services a plus
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in both school and homebound settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse student population
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services and progress
  • Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt strategies to meet the unique needs of each student, including those in home settings
  • Remain flexible as caseloads and school sites may adjust throughout the year
