Account Manager

KLG Public Relations is hiring an Account Manager to join its award-winning team.

We're looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial communications professional with deep wine and spirits expertise, strong media relationships, and a passion for building brands through impactful storytelling. This role is ideal for a team leader who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and is eager to help shape communications strategies for some of the industry's most exciting brands.

The Account Manager will serve as a key client contact, helping lead account strategy, media relations, team management, and campaign execution while delivering exceptional client service and measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Partner with agency leadership to develop and execute strategic communications plans
• Provide thoughtful counsel and day-to-day guidance to clients
• Lead account management across multiple clients while ensuring deadlines, budgets, and deliverables are met
• Mentor and support junior team members to drive strong performance and professional growth
• Develop and execute proactive and reactive media relations programs
• Successfully pitch and secure high-quality earned media coverage across consumer, trade, lifestyle, and business media
• Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners
• Lead creative brainstorming sessions and identify compelling story angles and opportunities
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and cultural moments to uncover opportunities for clients
• Create presentations, strategic plans, media materials, and client-facing communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6+ years of public relations experience, including at least two years in the wine and spirits industry
• Celebrity and talent experience a plus
• Strong media contacts and a proven track record of securing impactful coverage
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced agency environment
• Understanding of integrated communications, including earned media, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, content, and social media
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
