At year-end 2025, the MBU recorded over $1B in gross premium written.Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team:The Premium Operations Associate is responsible for managing outgoing premium activities including refunds, commissions, and claims payments. This role maintains essential registers, supports onboarding of producers and brokers, performs compliance tasks such as OFAC checks, and responds to internal and external inquiries regarding outgoing premium activity. The Associate plays a hands-on role in ensuring accurate and timely execution of payments, supporting reconciliation processes, and contributing to operational efficiency and compliance across the business unit.What you will do:Prepare all deposited checks for entry into the accounting systemProcess premium refunds, claims refund deposits, and commission refunds/paymentsRun and maintain monthly claims and commission registersProcess claims and commission checks/ACHs and ensure accurate tracking of outstanding itemsRespond to internal and external inquiries regarding commissions, claims, and other outgoing premium itemsSupport new business onboarding for producers/brokers, including OFAC reportingMaintain premium journal notes and client contact cheat sheetsAssist with reconciliation research as neededSupport the Lead with workflow execution during peak periods or complex casesOther duties as assignedWhat YOU will bring to C&F:High school diploma/GED required.Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred;3+ years of experience, preferably in premium accounting or related finance roleProficiency in MS Office and premium accounting systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving discrepanciesExcellent organizational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detailStrong communication skills for partner interactions and cross-functional collaborationAbility to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining accuracyA proactive, business-focused mindset and commitment to service excellenceHigh ethical standards and professional conductWhat C&F will bring to youCompetitive compensation packageGenerous 401K employer matchEmployee Stock Purchase plan with employer matchingGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent benefits that go beyond health, dental & vision. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $38,300.00 to a maximum of $56,200.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
