Business Operations Coordinator (Contract) – Phoenix, AZ

About our client

Our client is a fiber infrastructure company that builds and operates high-capacity networks connecting data centers, businesses and carriers. As demand for cloud and digital services grows, the company is expanding its fiber network across the U.S. You will join the hyperscale division, which builds fiber connecting data centers, and support the construction teams behind those projects.

About the role

As Business Operations Coordinator you will keep purchasing and invoicing running for a busy construction operation, owning purchase orders from creation to close and processing vendor invoices accurately and on time.

Logistics

- Location: Phoenix, AZ (fully on-site, Monday to Friday)

- Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mountain Time

- Pay: $25/ hour

- Contract: 6 months through Brooksource, with a strong possibility of converting to full-time

- Overtime: possible when volume spikes

- Start date: as early as October 26

- Interview process: phone screen and video interview with Brooksource, then a one-hour interview with our client

- Systems: Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook)

What you will do

- Create purchase orders and manage each one through its full lifecycle, about 15 to 20 per day

- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, coding and supporting documentation, about 20 to 30 per day

- Keep organized, trackable records of POs and invoices in Excel and Oracle Fusion

- Communicate with vendors and internal construction teams, mostly by email

- Handle admin tasks such as safety equipment tracking and fleet tracking

- Assist with ordering and tracking materials and equipment for projects

- Perform accurate, timely data entry and file management for operational records

- Provide general clerical support, including scheduling, correspondence and document preparation

- Collaborate with internal teams to keep communication and workflow smooth

- Spot gaps in the process and help improve how work flows

This role does not approve purchases; it prepares, routes and tracks them.

What we are looking for

- Experience with high-volume accounts payable, purchasing or procurement coordination

- Oracle Fusion experience strongly preferred; similar ERP experience considered

- Proficiency in Excel and Outlook (advanced formulas are not needed; staying organized and tracking work accurately are)

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep up with a heavy daily workload

- Clear written communication and a problem-solving mindset

- Experience in construction, especially underground or civil work, is a plus but not required
