Regional Sales Manager

Location: Southwest Michigan (Hybrid / Field-based) About the Opportunity A well-established, US-based designer and manufacturer of precision pneumatic valves, fluid power solutions, and customized electromechanical control components is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. Serving diverse high-value sectors—including medical devices, laboratory instrumentation, industrial automation, agriculture, and commercial transportation, the company provides tailored engineered solutions to complex flow-control challenges. This role serves as the key technical and commercial liaison between direct customer accounts, channel distribution partners, and internal engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Channel & Business Development: Identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with key distribution partners and direct OEM accounts across the region. Evaluate distributor performance, identify market coverage gaps, and expand sales presence in high-potential territories. Application Engineering Support: Deliver hands-on pre-sales engineering expertise to prospective clients. Collaborate with internal design and engineering groups to coordinate custom technical solutions and specialty system remedies. Field Sales Execution: Execute regional growth strategies, conduct live product capability demonstrations, and join distributor reps in the field to target high-value engineering opportunities. Voice of Customer & Forecasting: Provide direct customer feedback to internal product management teams to influence future product development. Track project pipelines, manage sales opportunity data, and deliver monthly revenue forecasts. Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with project management, application engineering, and production planning teams to streamline custom solutions from concept through delivery. Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of professional engineering or technical sales experience, including 2+ years of customer-facing application engineering focused on pneumatic, hydraulic, or electromechanical components/systems. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or a related engineering discipline preferred (or equivalent practical fluid power/pneumatics industry experience). Business or entrepreneurial coursework is a plus. Technical Communication: Strong technical writing, presentation, and sales demonstration skills. Proven ability to convey complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and commercial buyers. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional relationship-building ability with a collaborative, team-first approach.
