Summary We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a full-time art teacher at Orange County High. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their artistic abilities, encourage self-expression, and foster a love for the arts. This position requires a dynamic educator who can develop engaging lesson plans, promote critical thinking, and cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. Create engaging lesson plans that encourage creativity and artistic expression across various mediums. Teach fundamental art concepts, techniques, and history to students of different skill levels. Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their artistic skills. Organize and oversee art exhibitions, contests, and other events to showcase student work. Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art education into interdisciplinary projects. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials and equipment are properly managed. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing regular updates to students and parents. Stay current with trends in art education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into the classroom. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages all students to express themselves creatively. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field Valid teaching certification or willing to obtain Proven experience teaching art at the high school level, with a strong portfolio of personal and student work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and contemporary art practices. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
