Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer III Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support the development and testing of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) and next-generation mining automation technologies. AHS is a fleet management platform used in mining operations where autonomous vehicles are controlled through wireless communication, precision positioning, and obstacle avoidance systems. This role focuses on testing complex distributed, real-time autonomous systems and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Hardware, and Operations teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute risk-based QA strategies for AHS platforms Build and enhance test automation frameworks Perform functional, performance, security, failover, API, and UI testing Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Support containerized test environments and Infrastructure as Code Drive shift-left testing and regression automation Execute exploratory/manual testing for edge cases Track QA metrics, defect trends, and support root cause analysis Support deployment validation, field installations, and compatibility testing Mentor QA engineers and improve enterprise QA practices Travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel Required Skills 6+ years in Software QA / Systems Testing 4+ years in QA Automation / SDET Strong experience with Java, Python, or C# Docker / containerization Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible preferred) Experience testing distributed or real-time systems Performance / security / failover testing Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills Preferred Network protocols / distributed application debugging Full SDLC exposure including build/release/testing/production support #J-18808-Ljbffr Programming.codes
