About the Position: Advanced level law enforcement position who is responsible for patrolling and enforcing relevant laws within their jurisdiction. Work is performed under direct supervision of law enforcement staff/personnel of higher classifications. In addition, work involves assisting in the interview process of suspects and witnesses and assisting other law enforcement agencies and/or municipalities when necessary. May lead a team of officers in the absence of a lead officer. Work is performed under general supervision performing clearly defined tasks using established methods and techniques.
What you'll need to be Successful: To be successful in this position, you will need to be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, follow MSPB AND MDOC Policies and Procedures, have good communication skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires possession of a State of Mississippi Law Enforcement Professional Certification, and 2-4 years of experience in law enforcement.
