We also have assembly operations in North Carolina and a distribution and training center in Ontario, Canada.Primary Function:The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a 2nd shift maintenance department comprised of maintenance personnel, maintenance clerks and planners. This position ensures the team supports the operational goals through effective maintenance of our manufacturing equipment.Responsibilities:Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Technicians, and Operations to ensure effective communication on plant equipment issues to optimize uptime and schedule attainmentCollaborate with plant production supervision to schedule maintenance and repair of equipment and facilitiesWork with engineering, supervisors, and safety to identify and quickly resolve any safety issuesWork closely with engineering and purchasing to identify key spare parts to be stocked in the crib and their appropriate stocking levels.Drive continuous improvement efficiencies in maintenance key processesMaintain employee records such as attendance, training, and general performanceAdminister company policies, procedures and negotiated contract provisions in a union environmentFacilitate the fabrication and/or installation of equipmentJob Requirements:Associate degree in Technology, Skilled Trades Certification or related training and experience preferredIn-depth experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs of production equipment and operating systemsOracle or similar ERP system experience preferredAbility to read and interpret drawings and blueprintsStrong knowledge of industrial diagnostic and problem-solving techniques including the use of PLC logic laddersProficient in standard computer software such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.Strong verbal and written communications skillsAbility to quickly grasp and implement new ideas, concepts, and programs to improve maintenance department efficiencyAvailability to work daily and weekend overtime as assignedEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
