You have the ability to deburr, cut, polish, blend, and smooth the surfaces of machined parts using a variety of hand tools, for example, grinders, deburring tools, drill, and files. You have basic knowledge of properties of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum applicable to part fabrication. You have the ability to operate machining equipment including both mills and lathes. You have the ability to build shop aid tools to further enhance machining operation for applicable equipment. You have the ability to distinguish between a sharp and a dull or chipped tool. You have the ability to operate conventional and computerized machining equipment including both mills and lathes. You have the ability to design and build shop aid tools to further enhance machining operation for applicable equipment. You have the ability to operate and calibrate tool setter per assigned area.*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
