Security Officer

We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the JobPatrols campus and assigned areas to monitor for conditions or situations which pose a risk to the safety of people or property.Provides routine comprehensive security services, including:Assistance with patient restraint;Intervention in disruptions by patients;Traffic control;Guarding and patrolling physical property;Escorting visitors and employees;Monitoring systems;Orienting and monitoring of personnel working in high-risk areas;Investigation of incidents;Access control;Enforcement of visitor policies;Respond to emergencies;Respirator fit testing;Hazard surveillance surveys;Participation in emergency drills; andPublic assistance requests.Other duties as assignedAdditional Details:Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:High School Diploma or equivalentValid Alaska driver’s licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) within 90 daysIAHSS Basic certification within 3 monthsExperience RequiredSix months of security-related experienceKnowledge ofSecurity policies and proceduresSkills inEffective communicationAbility toDefuse potential security situations, including aggressive individualsExercise good judgement in stressful and emergent situationsPosition Information:Work Shift:ExemptIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us! #J-18808-Ljbffr SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium
