Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides age-specific nursing care in labor and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to support patients and families in achieving optimal health outcomes. Ensures safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout all stages of labor and postpartum.

Responsibilities:

• Implement the nursing process through relationship-based care tailored to patient needs.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in labor and delivery nursing procedures to promote safety and positive outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the ongoing professional development of self and peers to maintain a high standard of nursing practice.
• Display leadership to influence clinical and operational performance improvements.
• Adhere to all policies, standards, and confidentiality requirements related to protected health information (PHI).

Qualifications:

• Maintain active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
• Possess at least two years of Level 3 or 4 labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in labor and delivery nursing skills and procedures.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Comply with all hospital, department, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and safety protocols.
