About the Role
We are looking for the Head of Antenna leader who will build antenna capability in-house: architect, hands-on designer, and the person who recruits and grows the antenna team.
This is a startup leadership role for someone who still loves getting their hands on the hardware. You'll shape antenna strategy for a first-of-its-kind platform, work closely with the current design partner and the antenna test lead, and set the technical bar for everything that follows.
What You’ll Own
Antenna architecture for direct-to-device and backhaul links across global telecom bands
Modeling and simulation that turns beam patterns into real service coverage
Design and prototyping of phased array, reflector and other high-performance antennas
Integration into the vehicle structure alongside aero and mechanical engineering
Building and leading the antenna and RF team as the company scales
Broad RF and antenna design experience, including propagation, link budgets and system-level radio performance
Deep fluency with phased arrays, patch arrays and reflectors, taken from concept through test
A track record integrating antennas into aircraft, UAVs or spacecraft
Hands-on expertise with HFSS, CST or FEKO, VNAs and anechoic chambers
Experience leading technical teams, ideally at a startup or in an early-stage program
Logistics
Full-time and on-site at the Bay Area headquarters.
