Job Description
Responsibilities:
\nExplore bidding sites for new/future bidding opportunities
\nAttend Pre-bid meetings, site visits and bid lettings
\nMust be able to read plans, have the ability to coherently understand contract language and possess the skill set to prepare accurate take-offs
\nInput take-offs into HCSS
\nResearch for qualified subcontractors and suppliers
\nResponsible for complete bid process from obtaining competitive quotes to assembling and submitting bid packages
\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with various contractors, civil engineering firms, subcontractors and suppliers
\nExperience with estimating for water sewer & drainage as well as earthwork & paving
\n \nRequirements:
\nHCSS HeavyBid experience is required.
\nAGTEK experience is a plus
\nProficient in both Microsoft Office & Adobe also preferred
\n10 years of verifiable experience in estimating for FDOT and/or municipalities for water, sewer and storm drainage as well as road construction is required
\nFirst-rate analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nStrong written and oral communication skills.
\nAbility to work competently independently but also thrive in a team environment setting
\nAble to meet strict deadlines while working within time constraint scenarios
